Thrifty Couple
So as you know, hopefully, I'm a pretty creative person! What I'm hoping to do is start a bussiness! I'm stoked that my head is spinning with ideas. My idea is this- buy/save old furniture and broken furniture, and either refurbish it, fix it, or make it look pretty and sell it! I'm so excited to start this up. I've always wanted to work at something fun or atleast pretty, and nows my chance. Unfortunatly, a bussiness liscense has to cover all the bussinesses you own, for my family it's a last name co.. Which means I have to incorporate it into my bussiness name, which kind of dulls the cutesy stuff out of it, but hey, I can make it work! Levi is willing to help me and with the help of a oh-so clever and creative friend, whom happens to have more knowledge with the fabrics, I should be able to get it going! I just gotta scrape some money up (quite a bit) and pull my stuff together! I cannot even tell you how excited I am!

Creative Burst
It's Autumn and I couldn't be more stoked! Today was my birthday, and Lev's and mine annaversary! We've been going steady for 3 years now! I know it doesn't sound like very long, but boy, let me tell you! It feels like we just met, I still get butterflies in my stomache when he reaches for my hand, and it still takes me more time than a circus to dress for a date. However, I feel like we've been best friends FOREVER. It's hard to explain. I'll skip the mush.
Anywho, it's my favorite season: FALL! I get all my creative ideas about this time of the year! My journal is fillinf up FAST! I cannot wait to get my quaint little bussiness set up, no details for now, but the gist of it is this:
I buy old, ugly or broken furniture, fix it, and make it pretty, then SELL IT! Also, I enjoy making a variety of crafts and little things like that I hope to sell! First though, I'll have to get some money rolling in to pay for such supplies! I plan to sell most, if not all of it, over Etsy.com. You should check it out, if you haven't already. I recoment making an account and signing up for the emails, they give me such creative jolts! None of it is spam! Promise!

My Heart Jeans
Today I'm trying to create some cute little jeans. I've got an old pair of grungy jeans from years ago, and they've lost their luster. I'm going to take some fabric markers and put little hearts all over the place. This was inspired by "A Beautiful Mess"'s Blog about heart-on-the-knee jeans! I tried it, but seeing as how I don't have any actual fabric paint on me, I tried it out with my fabric markers and it ended up looking like something a teeny bopper would doodle on her jeans in algebra. So I've decided that the only thing to do now is to add until I get something half good. I figure if all else fails I'll end up with some fabric for another project!

My Blog Title
This is my first blog! I've been told over the years to get one but just really never got around to it! So here I am, back on topic. My blog title.
My blog title is "Finches and Coffee" because as an artist, I tend to look for a lot of things for inspiration. When I draw a blank I usually brew up a good cup of joe, and go for a walk. I never paint anything I saw on my walk, it's just that the caffeine and fresh air usually clears my mind, which means when I get back to my work, it's usually clear enough to let creative things enter!
Of course, the other reason is that I adore birds. I really just adore them. Almost all of them. I love anything bird themed, and try to create and get my hands on it ALL. I beleive that by the end of this year I may have to move just to get some extra room for my bird stuff. I mean I have all this crap, like food and a bed, that is taking up bird space. I don't have a pet bird becuase I happen to think that it would take away all the majesty of it and the bewilderment if I woke up at all hours of the night to something screeching, and I don't like having pets I can't cuddle with. There is also the possibility that my precious, precious, jealous dog, could cross the line between looking at, and eating.
